Emerging Leaders Program
LGPro is the member association and leading voice for people working in Local Government in Victoria, providing leadership, professional development and representation in the pursuit of excellence. Their emerging leaders program is designed for emerging leaders in Local Government and those who aspire to positions of leadership, the Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is an intense, enriching year of seminars, visits, tours, discussions, interactive activities and debate that foster participants’ leadership potential.
Participants gain access to practical insight from leaders across the sector, develop their leadership capabilities and professional attributes, forge new relationships across the sector, build stronger links between areas of expertise and increase their appreciation of the wider and emerging issues in local government.

2024 Projects
This project is one of three initiatives delivered by the 2024 LGPro cohort. The other projects explored Culture and Leadership, both elements are critical in breaking down silos. Strong leadership fosters a positive culture, creating an environment that encourages collaboration.
