Description

Designed to build relationships across the organisation, a range of initiatives were created. For each initiative, based on individual preference, working groups were formed.

Who

Initiated through the Executive Leadership team, an invitation to be part a working group was open to the wider organisation.

How

The suite of initiatives identified by the leadership group, were communicated to the wider organisation, seeking expression of interest in forming working groups. Creating a shared vision and purpose, and seeking the best outcome for the community, the working groups created common goals and targets to focus on.

The working groups created the foundation for further organic collaboration, through open conversation, blended team meetings and sharing of ideas. “Connectivity/Partnership” was included within individuals’ performance reviews, a reflection piece on how the individual contributed to this.

Outcome

Through observation and conversation, teams are working more collaboratively together, resolving any differences, showing a level of empathy through understanding and appreciation of the challenges faced by different teams/departments. The creation of the working groups has given members permission to put forward recommendations and offer their opinions in a safe forum.
